With only just a couple of days left till the Osun State Governorship elections, the Coalition of Osun State Students' Movement have come out and denied endorsing Governor Rauf Aregbesola for another term.

The group leaders held a press conference in Osogbe and revealed that it was sad that the National Association of Osun State Students and the Joint Campus Committee held a solidarity protest in support of the striking lecturers of Osun State-owned tertiary institutions would come out later and support the governor while the teachers are still in strike.

The group said: "We of the coalition of Osun State Students' bodies condemn in strong terms the 'sponsored' solidarity rally carried out by the Joint Campus Committee, Osun State, few weeks ago in support of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola's re-election bid and also the press statement issued by the leadership of the National Association of Osun State Students' national secretariat to endorse the governor for a second term."

Also in a statement jointly signed by the Students' Union President of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Bashir Saheed; Students' Union President, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Adetunji Peter; Students' Union President, Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Abiodun Saheed; and Coordinator, Coalition of Osun State Students' Movement, Momodu Munir, the group said there was no justification for any group of students to support the governor's second term bid.
