The move was deemed necessary to ensure that the deadly disease does not spread
The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has suspended the upcoming stream 2 orientation programme for the 2014 Batch 'B' set in 6 states.
The second stream was due to start on September 1 but will no longer hold in Adamawa, Bauchi, Jigawa, Borno, Gombe, and Yobe States.
The development was announced by the Director General of the NYSC, Brig Gen Johnson Olawumi at the orientation camp in Abuja.
The suspension is in line with a bid to ensure that the Ebola disease does not spread further within the country.
The virus was introduced into the country by Late Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, who died in Lagos on July 25.
