By the time I got back to Nigeria most of my clothes were Lace material and people start identifying me with my clothes.<p>Q What about your early career?<p>It was rough because I came into Lagos not knowing anybody; I just asked some where I could get a Studio and I found myself living there because I helped some guys on Studio section to harmonise music.<p>Q What genre of music do you play?<p>I do Afro-Hip-pop music.<p>Q  What has been your experience with Dozage Records?<p>Since joining Dozage, it has been a huge success and pillar to my career; we have been trying to work up to the peak. Dozage has got a lot of talents to watch out for, like Mayor Safin, Phenom, and I know we are taking over soon.<p>Q  Which song that brought you into limelight?<br>Hmmm I will say it "Sebiwo".<p>Q Experience with other Nigerian artistes?<p> It has been cool, few still want to feel what this guy can do, but I am sure they are convinced, so it has been fine.<p>Q  What informed your recently album - BENIN TO NIGERIA; why did you tag and release it on 14th of February?<br>Well, my debut album Benin-2-Nigeria is all about me, where I come from, what I can do and my style of music. My management chose the date and we worked it out.<p>Q Does your music have any impact on your religion?<p>Well I am a Christian and I respect God a lot. The effect of Christmas music on our shopping behaviour<br> It's that time of year where you can't step into a shopping centre without having your senses hijacked by the festivities.<br>Christmas carols on repeat, trees and decorations everywhere, kids having their photo taken with Father Christmas and all the other Yuletide madness that comes along with it.<br>If you're someone who wants to just buy your presents and get out, all of this can be highly irritating to say the least.<br>Many marketers believe that playing Christmas music in malls will get shoppers in a good mood, making them spend more time in malls, buy more impulsively and ultimately, spend more money.<br>The idea that a shopping atmosphere can influence buyers' behaviour was initially introduced by internationally-renowned Professor of International Marketing, Philip Kotler in the Journal of Retailing in 1973. <br>In his paper, Kotler described that shoppers aren't as swayed by the actual product as they are by the total experience that goes into buying the product. <br>This includes the packaging, service received and the atmosphere of the place where the product is bought. In particular, what the shopper sees, smells and hears are critical factors.<br>What does Christmas music do to our behaviour?<br>Lisa Cavanaugh, Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Southern Carolina's Marshall School of Business, states that hearing Christmas songs can actually change people's mindsets. <br>Cavanaugh, a 'gifting' psychology expert, found in one test that when religious Christmas music is played, people, religious or not, were more likely to spend money on others. <br>When non-religious (secular) Christmas music is played, people are more likely to spend money on themselves<br>Cavanaugh has also been quoted in an article by Livescience where she stated that the tempo of music can affect our shopping behaviour. <br>Slower music encourages browsing where more up-tempo music keeps people moving.<br>Classical Christmas music encourage consumers to spend more in total or buy more expensive items. A study by the Texas Tech University shows that people are likely to spend more money if a store plays classical music than if the same store plays Top 40 chart music.<br>The combination of favourable Christmas smells with Christmas music can also have a powerful effect on shoppers' perceptions. <br>A 2003 Washington State University study showed that when a store plays Christmas music and also is scented with a Christmassy smell, shoppers have more positive attitudes towards the store than when those stimuli are missing. This didn't however have any effect on whether they purchased more or not.<br>What if you don't like Christmas music?<br>The problem with many studies into Christmas music is that they are often based on the assumption that consumers actually like Christmas music. <br>This is simply not true. Many people find it extremely annoying. <br>If you don't like it, it is very unlikely that Christmas music will have a positive effect on your mood or encourage you to spend more money – in fact, it may cause you to do the exact opposite.<br>According to a Forbes article by Dr. Ron Friedman, a motivational psychologist, some consumers could also feel that malls playing Christmas music are deliberately trying to manipulate them into spending money. <br>When people feel that they are being forced or manipulated into something, it often causes them to do the exact opposite. In psychology, this is known as Reactive Theory.<br>So, in short, if you do enjoy Christmas music, don't let the feel-good atmosphere in your local shopping mall sweep you off your feet. Avoid impulse purchases by drawing up a budget and a shopping list now. <br>This actually works for those who hate Christmas music too. If you have a plan, you can get in and out of the mall quickly without feeling like you're about to fly into a violent rage. Stick to this and you'll have yourself a merry little Christmas.

The song has garnered impressive radio airplay and television rotations.<p>'Woju' is a mid tempo hi life/pop song laced with live guitar played by Fiokee (the guitarist behind scapegoat). In this interview with Nigeriafilms.com, Kiss Daniel, who is now the artiste of the moment, explained to us the rationale behind the song and other issues. Excerpts.<p>Who is Kiss Daniel?<p>Kiss Daniel is an unpredictable entertainer, too deep, too wide, too high; just when you think he is through, he gets started on another paragraph.<p>When did you begin your musical career?<p>My career started professionally last year, when I got signed to G-Worldwide Entertainment. Though I have been making music since high school, but it was just for fun of it<p>How many tracks do you have so far?<p>Ok, I have released two tracks officially; 'Shoye' and 'Woju'. I dropped 'Shoye' on May 1, 2014, and also released the visuals few weeks later. Later, I dropped 'Woju', which is currently disturbing the peace of the country. 'Woju' also has a video, which was directed by Adasa Cookey.<p>What inspired 'Woju'?<p>Hmm, 'Woju' is a love song for a typical African woman. It talks about how women respond to too much compliments and admiration, by playing 'hard to get', and it offers suggestions as to how men should deal with such reactions by simply playing 'hard to come by '.<p>What does 'Woju' simply mean?<p>'Woju' simply means 'Recognise'. Although, literally, it means 'look at me', but then the whole point of looking at a person is for recognition.<p>What motivates you?<p>Good music; as an artiste, I listen to music a lot, like 24 hours a day. I'm always plugged in. Good music inspire me to make better music.<p>Do plan any collaboration with other artistes?<p>Yeah, I have done some collaborations, but I really don't want to disclose them for now, you all need to be patient.<p>Who do you look up to in the industry?<p>I look up to all those before me in the industry, especially those doing good for themselves and the world.<p>How would you describe your stay so far in the music industry?<p>It has been a combination of the good and the bad, but I'm thankful and grateful to God. I actually used to think i will have it too rough, but then It has turned out to be a pretty pleasant ride. Music industry is growing, a whole lot of outstanding artistes home and away are working hard to get recognition they deserve.<p>If you have the opportunity to change one thing in the industry, what will it be and why?<p>There is apparently nothing to change, the industry is fine except for the set of people holding it down. Just like every other sector in the country, we always have the good, the bad and the ugly.<p>What should your fans expect from you before the year runs out?<p>They should expect more singles and videos, perhaps collaboration.<p>As a young and handsome dude, what is your perception about 'relationship'?<p>Know your worth, never settle for less than you deserve.<p>Are you in one already or still searching?<p>Hmm, I am presently not in any relationship, but I would love to be in one with Iggy though, or Minaj. He was further accused of failing to process the travelling of Oritsefemi's manager known as Danku for the trip to Europe.<p>But on the part of Alex Ozone, he claimed the singer signed performance fee of €1500 for 10 cities and that the artiste absconded to Nigeria after the first two shows demanding for more money.<p>Nigeriafilms.com contacted both parties to get their sides of the story and here are their statements made available to us.<p>The response sent to Nigeriafilms.com from the camp of Alex Ozone reads;<br>"The CEO of 03 Media, an events and artist management outfit owned by Alex Ozone has come out to debunk false statements being peddled around by Oritse Femi and his MSN Gang team about the European Tour where he absconded from his hotel room in Czech Republic without fulfilling his contractual obligations to 03 media and Urban Entertainment who formed a partnership to organize the said event.<p>"*BE IT KNOWN TO ALL MEN AND ALL BUSINESSES AROUND THE WORLD*<p>"That Nigerian songwriter and singer Oritse Femi is still under a contract with Urban Entertainment in Czech Republic through 03 Media limited in Nigeria to embark on a month-long European tour of ten cities at the rate of £1500 per show and which he has been paid a total amount of £6500 as upfront payment.<p>"That Alex Ozone of 03 media Limited is a recognized and trusted show promoter who organized Davido's first European tour and has subsequently carried out a hitch-free European campaign for Terry G and Chuddy K respectively before contracting Oritse Femi on this particular tour.<p>"03 Media has never been incriminated in any shady deals in Europe before as being painted by Oritse Femi and his team, there is law and order in Europe and Alex Ozone would have been imprisoned if he is found culpable of any fraudulent activities<p>"That Oritse Femi left with our partner Alex Ozone on November 8th 2014 and landed in Padova, Italy on November 9th in preparation for the month-long European tour of ten cities. He however absconded from his hotel room back to Nigeria to request an increase in his fees from £1500 to £5000 after performing at just two shows and signing all contract papers.<p>"That we found it immature and irresponsible for Oritse Femi and his team to lie to the public that there is an agreement for four members of his team to be taken along with the artist for the tour, let it be clear to the all industry practitioners that MSN Gang is an unorganized venture where there is no division of labour, the Artist hardly travel out of the country for events with his erstwhile manager named 'Danku' and his cohorts of fortunate illiterates.<p>"That Oritse Femi unilaterally makes business decisions and arrange meetings without the presence his management team who hardly travel with him. On the issue of passports. The tour was initially planned for August 2014 but was postponed because of Oritse Femi's nomination At The Nigerian Entertainment Awards in the United States where he is expected to perform, We admit that it was initially planned to get two Visas for Oritse Femi and his manager but the advent of the Ebola epidemic made procurement of Visas an arduous task, due to the urgency of the event, Oritse Femi was awarded an express visa being the performing artist and he assured that his team is cool with the decision that Danku will apply later which he also agreed to, actions were not expedited on his visa application because Danku claimed he does not have fifty thousand naira(N50000) to pay for visa fee, his documents are still with our travelling agent if anybody wants to make verifications of our own part of the story.<p>"Oritse Femi however requested the payment of the initial three hundred thousand naira (N300000) which is equivalent to £1500 for the first show which we later discovered he lied to Danku that he was paid just N150000. Let it be known that Oritse Femi and his team have been denied visas on three different occasions and we nailed it for him in just three days being a recognized event management outfit.<p>"That this case of breach of contract and character defamation has been reported to the police authorities in and the Nigerian Embassy in Czech Republic and our Lawyers are already working to serve Oritse Femi and his cohorts their court papers in due course.<p>"We attached herewith copies of western union money transfer receipts paid to Oritse Femi and Danku his manager who collected the last installment of £1000. The documents include;<p>"Engagement agreement duly signed by Oritse Femi and his manager in our Lagos office. Western Union transfer receipts to Oritse Femi and Danku. The video drop Oritse Femi recorded for his Padova performance for November 23rd 2014. The video drop for his November 22nd performance in Stuttgart."<p>The response sent to Nigeriafilms.com from the camp of Oristefemi reads;<p>MSN Gang, Avatar Declare Alex Ozone Wanted For Fraud<p>"Money Stops Nonsense (MSN) Gang, and Avatar, the companies that recently signed Oritsefemi Ekele Majemite have declared former Terry G manager, Alex Ozone wanted for fraud.<p>"According to the Media Manager to MSN Gang, Avatar Management, Tijani Adegbola, Alex Ozone paraded himself as the manager of the artiste and defrauded musical promoters in Europe: France, Germany etc with a lot of Euros he collected from the entertainment outfits claimed he is the manager of the artiste.<p>"As we speak, Alex Ozone took our passports away. He vowed he would take them to the embassy for Visas. Suddenly, he dumped them somewhere that we could not even locate till date. He later submitted our artiste passport alongside his own claimed he is the manager to the artiste at the French embassy in Lagos.<p>"This didn't clear to the team until the management requested for the items he took. One of the staffs working at the embassy revealed that he claimed he is the manager to the artiste that was why he was given visa. Till date MSN Gang and Avatar don't know where he dumped those passports he took away.<p>"More so, the promoters' abroad later called MSN Gangs lines in Nigeria revealed that we should safe their images that Ozone has collected huge amount of money from them and later found out that he never gave any money to the management.<p>"After all these illicit deals, the management found out that this has dented Oritsefemi's images in Europe. And Ozone was telling the whole world that the artiste and his management have collected huge amount of money from him without traveling to perform abroad", Tijani Adegbola said.<p>"As you are reading this, the passports he absconded with have been reported to the IGP, Abuja. Till now, Mr Alex Ozone is nowhere to be found.<p>"The management however released an official statement that All shows both local and international that is not approved by management AVATAR, MSN Gang is not genuine and Oritse Femi will not partake in any performance anywhere. So we urge you all to be careful of fraudulent local and international managers who impersonate just to scam clients all in the name of Oritse Femi."<p>It would be recalled that Alex Ozone and Danku formerly worked together with Terry G before both parted ways with the artiste in January 2014.

Nigeria ranked the 39th most corrupt nation- <br> <br> <br> Nigeria has been rated as the 39th most corrupt nation in the world according to Transparency International, Punch reports. <br> <br>According to the Corruption Perception Index 2014 released on Wednesday, Nigeria scored 27 out of a maximum 100 marks to clinch the 136th position out of the 175 countries surveyed for the report. <br> <br>Nigeria appeared to have improved by eight points against its 2013 rating of 144th of 175 countries last year. <br> <br> <br>It will be recalled that the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index ranked Nigeria 35th most corrupt nation in the world in 2012. <br> <br>A statement issued by the Transparency International noted that more than two thirds of the 175 countries in the 2014 Corruption Perceptions Index scored below 50, on a scale from 0 (perceived to be highly corrupt) to 100 (perceived to be very clean).

In 23 of the trips, he traveled with his own Nigerian-registered motorcycle. <br> <br>In 2012, he rode solo from Lagos-Nigeria to Austria, riding through France, Germany, Austria, and Italy; and in mid-October, he embarked on another solo trip from South Africa to Lagos. <br> <br> <br>Kanu is the co-founder, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Easy Riders Motorcycle Club of Nigeria – the first registered motorcycle club in Nigeria. <br> <br>He is also the co-founder of Ride Easy Motorcycle Training School; co-founder and member Board of Trustees, Ride Easy Motorcycling Club of Lagos, and Superbike Clubs Association of Nigeria (SCAN).
