It is rare to see a Yoruba elder in Doyin Okupe's station do so much damage to his culture because he either misunderstands it or his desire for stomach infrastructure stands in the way of wisdom" Besides, how could one compare someone who cared-less about d abduction of over 200 children, citing prof adesunmi "President Jonathan went on prime time TV to proclaim that stealing is not corruption. He reprimanded those who take corruption too seriously for misunderstanding ordinary, mere, simple cases of stealing. Watching him, I told myself that he was very effective in making stealing look like the new cool in Nigeria. At first, career Jonathanians were stunned on social media. It was such a huge gaffe on the part of their Orisha that they initially did not know what to do about it. Then, like a herd, they started cutting and slicing the statement; defending it; justifying it; rationalizing it; explaining it; accounting for it; mitigating it; diluting it. As is usual with career Jonathanians, they forgot their Orisha who made the error and turned against Nigerians who dared to scrutinize it" As once prescribed by him not only shud he b publicly lashed, he shud av been sent to d gallows...awon #‎agbaya‬ oshi!

The effect of Christmas music on our shopping behaviour It's that time of year where you can't step into a shopping centre without having your senses hijacked by the festivities. Christmas carols on repeat, trees and decorations everywhere, kids having their photo taken with Father Christmas and all the other Yuletide madness that comes along with it. If you're someone who wants to just buy your presents and get out, all of this can be highly irritating to say the least. Many marketers believe that playing Christmas music in malls will get shoppers in a good mood, making them spend more time in malls, buy more impulsively and ultimately, spend more money. The idea that a shopping atmosphere can influence buyers' behaviour was initially introduced by internationally-renowned Professor of International Marketing, Philip Kotler in the Journal of Retailing in 1973.  In his paper, Kotler described that shoppers aren't as swayed by the actual product as they are by the total experience that goes into buying the product.  This includes the packaging, service received and the atmosphere of the place where the product is bought. In particular, what the shopper sees, smells and hears are critical factors. What does Christmas music do to our behaviour? Lisa Cavanaugh, Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Southern Carolina's Marshall School of Business, states that hearing Christmas songs can actually change people's mindsets.  Cavanaugh, a 'gifting' psychology expert, found in one test that when religious Christmas music is played, people, religious or not, were more likely to spend money on others.  When non-religious (secular) Christmas music is played, people are more likely to spend money on themselves Cavanaugh has also been quoted in an article by Livescience where she stated that the tempo of music can affect our shopping behaviour.  Slower music encourages browsing where more up-tempo music keeps people moving. Classical Christmas music encourage consumers to spend more in total or buy more expensive items. A study by the Texas Tech University shows that people are likely to spend more money if a store plays classical music than if the same store plays Top 40 chart music. The combination of favourable Christmas smells with Christmas music can also have a powerful effect on shoppers' perceptions.  A 2003 Washington State University study showed that when a store plays Christmas music and also is scented with a Christmassy smell, shoppers have more positive attitudes towards the store than when those stimuli are missing. This didn't however have any effect on whether they purchased more or not. What if you don't like Christmas music? The problem with many studies into Christmas music is that they are often based on the assumption that consumers actually like Christmas music.  This is simply not true. Many people find it extremely annoying.  If you don't like it, it is very unlikely that Christmas music will have a positive effect on your mood or encourage you to spend more money – in fact, it may cause you to do the exact opposite. According to a Forbes article by Dr. Ron Friedman, a motivational psychologist, some consumers could also feel that malls playing Christmas music are deliberately trying to manipulate them into spending money.  When people feel that they are being forced or manipulated into something, it often causes them to do the exact opposite. In psychology, this is known as Reactive Theory. So, in short, if you do enjoy Christmas music, don't let the feel-good atmosphere in your local shopping mall sweep you off your feet. Avoid impulse purchases by drawing up a budget and a shopping list now.  This actually works for those who hate Christmas music too. If you have a plan, you can get in and out of the mall quickly without feeling like you're about to fly into a violent rage. Stick to this and you'll have yourself a merry little Christmas.

 London - Miss South Africa, 22-year-old Rolene Strauss, was crowned Miss World 2014 at the pageant's final in London on Sunday, with an estimated billion viewers watching on television around the globe.
 Miss Hungary, Edina Kulcsar, was the runner-up and Miss United States, Elizabeth Safrit, came third in the 64th annual competition, contested by women from 121 countries.
 Strauss clasped her hands together in surprise and was presented with the sash by the outgoing Miss World, Megan Young of the Philippines.
 
 
 
 The medical student sat in the winner's throne as the 2013 champion put the glittering crown on her head before a fireworks finale at the ExCeL exhibition centre in east London.
 "South Africa this is for you," Strauss said afterwards.
 "I think I will brace myself for what's about to happen. It's a huge responsibility."

Grammy Awards 2015 Nominations | FULL LIST-@rosamedia29

The nominees for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards were announced on Friday morning.
 
 In the coveted Record of the Year category, Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" featuring Charli XCX will vie against Sam Smith's "Stay With Me", Sia's "Chandelier", Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" and Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass.

Though I have been making music since high school, but it was just for fun of itHow many tracks do you have so far?Ok, I have released two tracks officially; 'Shoye' and 'Woju'. He was further accused of failing to process the travelling of Oritsefemi's manager known as Danku for the trip to Europe.But on the part of Alex Ozone, he claimed the singer signed performance fee of €1500 for 10 cities and that the artiste absconded to Nigeria after the first two shows demanding for more money.Nigeriafilms.com contacted both parties to get their sides of the story and here are their statements made available to us.The response sent to Nigeriafilms.com from the camp of Alex Ozone reads; "The CEO of 03 Media, an events and artist management outfit owned by Alex Ozone has come out to debunk false statements being peddled around by Oritse Femi and his MSN Gang team about the European Tour where he absconded from his hotel room in Czech Republic without fulfilling his contractual obligations to 03 media and Urban Entertainment who formed a partnership to organize the said event."*BE IT KNOWN TO ALL MEN AND ALL BUSINESSES AROUND THE WORLD*"That Nigerian songwriter and singer Oritse Femi is still under a contract with Urban Entertainment in Czech Republic through 03 Media limited in Nigeria to embark on a month-long European tour of ten cities at the rate of £1500 per show and which he has been paid a total amount of £6500 as upfront payment."That Alex Ozone of 03 media Limited is a recognized and trusted show promoter who organized Davido's first European tour and has subsequently carried out a hitch-free European campaign for Terry G and Chuddy K respectively before contracting Oritse Femi on this particular tour."03 Media has never been incriminated in any shady deals in Europe before as being painted by Oritse Femi and his team, there is law and order in Europe and Alex Ozone would have been imprisoned if he is found culpable of any fraudulent activities"That Oritse Femi left with our partner Alex Ozone on November 8th 2014 and landed in Padova, Italy on November 9th in preparation for the month-long European tour of ten cities. He however absconded from his hotel room back to Nigeria to request an increase in his fees from £1500 to £5000 after performing at just two shows and signing all contract papers."That we found it immature and irresponsible for Oritse Femi and his team to lie to the public that there is an agreement for four members of his team to be taken along with the artist for the tour, let it be clear to the all industry practitioners that MSN Gang is an unorganized venture where there is no division of labour, the Artist hardly travel out of the country for events with his erstwhile manager named 'Danku' and his cohorts of fortunate illiterates."That Oritse Femi unilaterally makes business decisions and arrange meetings without the presence his management team who hardly travel with him. On the issue of passports. The tour was initially planned for August 2014 but was postponed because of Oritse Femi's nomination At The Nigerian Entertainment Awards in the United States where he is expected to perform, We admit that it was initially planned to get two Visas for Oritse Femi and his manager but the advent of the Ebola epidemic made procurement of Visas an arduous task, due to the urgency of the event, Oritse Femi was awarded an express visa being the performing artist and he assured that his team is cool with the decision that Danku will apply later which he also agreed to, actions were not expedited on his visa application because Danku claimed he does not have fifty thousand naira(N50000) to pay for visa fee, his documents are still with our travelling agent if anybody wants to make verifications of our own part of the story."Oritse Femi however requested the payment of the initial three hundred thousand naira (N300000) which is equivalent to £1500 for the first show which we later discovered he lied to Danku that he was paid just N150000. Let it be known that Oritse Femi and his team have been denied visas on three different occasions and we nailed it for him in just three days being a recognized event management outfit."That this case of breach of contract and character defamation has been reported to the police authorities in and the Nigerian Embassy in Czech Republic and our Lawyers are already working to serve Oritse Femi and his cohorts their court papers in due course."We attached herewith copies of western union money transfer receipts paid to Oritse Femi and Danku his manager who collected the last installment of £1000. The documents include;"Engagement agreement duly signed by Oritse Femi and his manager in our Lagos office. Western Union transfer receipts to Oritse Femi and Danku. The video drop Oritse Femi recorded for his Padova performance for November 23rd 2014. The video drop for his November 22nd performance in Stuttgart."The response sent to Nigeriafilms.com from the camp of Oristefemi reads;MSN Gang, Avatar Declare Alex Ozone Wanted For Fraud"Money Stops Nonsense (MSN) Gang, and Avatar, the companies that recently signed Oritsefemi Ekele Majemite have declared former Terry G manager, Alex Ozone wanted for fraud."According to the Media Manager to MSN Gang, Avatar Management, Tijani Adegbola, Alex Ozone paraded himself as the manager of the artiste and defrauded musical promoters in Europe: France, Germany etc with a lot of Euros he collected from the entertainment outfits claimed he is the manager of the artiste."As we speak, Alex Ozone took our passports away. He vowed he would take them to the embassy for Visas. Suddenly, he dumped them somewhere that we could not even locate till date. He later submitted our artiste passport alongside his own claimed he is the manager to the artiste at the French embassy in Lagos."This didn't clear to the team until the management requested for the items he took. One of the staffs working at the embassy revealed that he claimed he is the manager to the artiste that was why he was given visa. Till date MSN Gang and Avatar don't know where he dumped those passports he took away."More so, the promoters' abroad later called MSN Gangs lines in Nigeria revealed that we should safe their images that Ozone has collected huge amount of money from them and later found out that he never gave any money to the management."After all these illicit deals, the management found out that this has dented Oritsefemi's images in Europe. And Ozone was telling the whole world that the artiste and his management have collected huge amount of money from him without traveling to perform abroad", Tijani Adegbola said."As you are reading this, the passports he absconded with have been reported to the IGP, Abuja. Till now, Mr Alex Ozone is nowhere to be found."The management however released an official statement that All shows both local and international that is not approved by management AVATAR, MSN Gang is not genuine and Oritse Femi will not partake in any performance anywhere.  More than seven Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors this morning arrived the Abeokuta, Ogun State, hilltop residence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to persuade him to work for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in next year's presidential election.
 
 Two of the governors, Liyel Imoke of Cross River State and Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, arrived Obasanjo's residence at 12.55 p.m. and swiftly moved into the house w...ithout any banters with journalists who were there.
 
 The identity of some of the governors could not be confirmed as the registration numbers of their cars were covered.
 
 A close aide of Obasanjo confirmed that all the governors were from the PDP and that they came to persuade Obasanjo not to abandon the party at this crucial moment when his support is highly needed.
 
 The aide also confirmed that Obasanjo was aware of their coming as he had earlier held a meeting with some of his associates on the visit of the PDP governors.
 
 "Throughout last night Baba Obasanjo met with us to discuss the visit by the PDP governors and the position to take. Baba pointedly told us that he remains a staunch member of PDP and that he was not fighting anybody but cannot accept an indicted fellow to be his leader,"
 
 It was also gathered that the main purpose of the governors' visit was to persuade Obasanjo to throw his weight behind the re-election of President Jonathan in 2015 and stop giving tacit support to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in its quest to dislodge the ruling parrty from the centre.
 
 The meeting was still ongoing as at the time of filing this report

 The founder of DAAR Communications – owners of AIT, Raypower, Faaji FM and more, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has resigned from the board of DAAR Communications Plc, to join politics.
 
 He made it known last week at the company's board of directors meeting in Abuja. He said;
 
 "Please permit me to thank the entire members of the board of directors of DAAR Communications, the entire staff, viewers and listeners of all the DAAR communications stable, whether it is Raypower, AIT, Faaji FM and all the SBUs that were created during my tenure.
 
 I am going to be involved in the politics of the country and therefore I thought that AIT, Raypower, should be independent and people should not mistake my political aspiration or participation to mean the position of this organization."
 
 His son, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr., has taken over as the new chairman. He stepped into his new shoes yesterday Monday Dec. 1 after his father's retirement took effect from Friday 28th November 2014.

 The Gatwick deal is a £1.455 billion agreement with BAA Airports Limited. Adebayo Ogunlesi, 56, is the chairman and managing partner, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), an independent investment fund based in New York City with worldwide stake in infrastructure assets,is the new owner of the London Gatwick Airport.
 
 The Nigerian who led Gatwick Airport Acquisition attended prestigious King's College, Lagos. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association. He was a lecturer at Harvard Law School and the Yale School.
 
 Ogunlesi, whose father was the first Nigerian-born medical professor, studied philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford and then earned law and business degrees from Harvard.

 The last time Barça achieved such a feat was over a year ago when they beat Malaga 1-0, Valencia 3-2, Rayo Vallecano 4-0, Almeria 2-0 and Celtic 1-0 before drawing 0-0 at Osasuna.

 The Ballif of Jersey, Mr Micheal Birt made this known at a dinner to honour Dr Dalhatu Tafida, Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK during a state visit to the Island.
 
 The Ballif who also is the Island's Civic Head of State and ceremonial head, is the highest ranking official in the Jersey order of precedence.
 
 The Island is famous for its fraud free banking system and has in the past returned two tranches £140 million of the loot.
 
 The funds is said to have been laundered on behalf of Abacha by Mr Raj Bhojwani, an Indian businessman who is currently on jail in UK serving an eight year sentence.
 
 Birt said that the Island is embarking on an ongoing campaign against money laundering.
 
 He said: "We have done a lot to clean up the image of the Island as a safe haven for stolen wealth. What we have in place is a transparent and legal finance heaven where only legal funds can be deposited and accessed by investors."
 
 Responding to the quotes, Tafilda praised the Island's transparent banking sector and said that the Nigerian government is also committed to fighting corruption and strengthening its anti-graft agencies.
 
 General Sani Abacha served in the Nigerian Army and was the President of the nation after the 1993 coup and served till his death in 1998.

 A Nigerian and chemical Engineer, Ogbonnaya Kanu, also known as Foto Dadi, has broken a record as the first man to ride a motorcycle from Lagos to South Africa.
 
 Kanu who is the first and returning Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Motorcycle Clubs, has ridden motorcycles to 26 countries of the world. In 23 of the trips, he traveled with his own Nigerian-registered motorcycle.
 
 In 2012, he rode solo from Lagos-Nigeria to Austria, riding through France, Germany, Austria, and Italy; and in mid-October, he embarked on another solo trip from South Africa to Lagos.
 
 
 Kanu is the co-founder, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Easy Riders Motorcycle Club of Nigeria – the first registered motorcycle club in Nigeria.
 
 He is also the co-founder of Ride Easy Motorcycle Training School; co-founder and member Board of Trustees, Ride Easy Motorcycling Club of Lagos, and Superbike Clubs Association of Nigeria (SCAN).
